Beautiful cabin with spectacular views

Beautiful cabin and gorgeous views. Very close to downtown Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, plus the cabin was very clean. We’ll definitely be back!

Need to do better with cleaning and maintenance

The cabin is beautiful and the view is incredible. We were disgruntled about a few issues with the cabin, however. Upon arrival we noticed that it wasn’t very clean in some spots. The microwave was dirty, there was dust on some of the end tables and the grill was downright disgusting and my husband had to thoroughly clean it before we cooked on it. My kids came prepared to swim in the advertised pool, however we were disappointed to find the pool closed for “refurbishing”. We thought ok - we will just enjoy the hot tub. The hot tub was dirty and the jets don’t work. We spent 5 minutes in it and then we all rushed to get showers when we realized the dirty water we were sitting in. The sink in the downstairs bathroom is clogged. There were dirty dishes in the cupboards. The lights on the deck don’t work. Carpenter ants popped up too often. We live in the country - we understand the woods bring insects but in our opinion this place is not being treated for bugs. One of the downstairs bedrooms smelled strongly of baby poo and there was an air freshener in there, which made it seem like someone was trying to cover something up. Under the kitchen sink there is the “faux drawer” above the cupboard that many kitchens have. My 8 year old tried to “open” this fake drawer and the entire piece came off and fell on his bare foot. That was a fun experience. We love Gatlinburg and have been there a few times now. We love the area but were not thrilled with the issues at this cabin considering we paid a lot for it. The biggest problem was no pool or hot tub for my kids. They were pretty bored. We actually left 2 days early. Only giving 2 stars because the view off of the deck is gorgeous and the cabin is pretty and has potential. Just need to improve on the upkeep and I feel we should have been told about the pool being shut down.

Our Stay

The cabin location is very convenient, but the road is noisy. Mountain views from the front deck are gorgeous. The hardwood floor in the cabin was beautiful. Kitchen and master bathroom were average, and the queen beds were very uncomfortable. The hot tub would not heat up and received no maintenance for it even after calling the main office. There was trash (soiled diapers, multiple plastic and styrofoam cups, used carryout styrofoam food containers, etc.,) strewn all over the one side of the cabin--as if someone had dumped a garbage bag above the cabin. We called to report it on our arrival, but nothing was done so we had to view it during our stay along with concern for bears finding it. Great views, private setting

Looked just like the pics. Great view of mountains. Clean; uncluttered. Cookware was sparse but adequate; didn’t come to fix gourmet meals. Plenty private, even in Feb with no foliage out. Fees were a bit above average but still a good value. I’d return.
