Honey Bee Cottage was designed for making memories with family and friends—including your 4-legged ones. Looking out onto the Smoky Mountains, the 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom cabin sleeps up to 8 people and 2 pets. Outfitted with a jetted tub, a pool table, cable TV, and free WiFi—plus fabulous views from its 2 decks—this spacious lodge has everything you need for spending quality time with loved ones. What’s more, it’s only 10 minutes from downtown Gatlinburg, Ober Gatlinburg Amusement Park and Ski Area, and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
The main floor’s great room is a warm, welcoming space. Oversize windows let in plenty of sunshine; on chilly winter evenings the stone-surround fireplace casts the room in a golden glow. The futon sofa, rockers, and armchair ensure that everyone can hang out together, whether it’s to watch a movie on the flat-screen TV or sip après-ski hot cocoa by the fire.
The dining table seats 6, and there’s room for several more at the breakfast bar. Honey Bee Cottage is close to numerous restaurants, but when you’d rather eat in, you can cook up a feast in the cabin’s kitchen. Appliances, cookware, tableware, ample counter space and elbow room: The kitchen has it all. When you do eat out, you can store your doggie bag in the fridge and heat the leftovers in the microwave. Prefer to cook alfresco? The cabin has a charcoal grill.
The downstairs den is another convivial space for congregating. Furnished in retro-chic Mid-Century Modern style, this room is dedicated to relaxation. For starters, there’s the Jacuzzi. You’ll make a beeline for its massaging jets of water when you return from hiking, biking, or horseback riding. The pool table is a fun way to while away an evening, and because the den has its own flat-screen TV, you can watch your favorite shows between shots. The kids can sprawl out on the carpet with their toys and games while you sprawl out on the couch for a nap. And because the room includes a wet bar, you won’t have to run upstairs for snacks or beverages.
Each of Honey Bee Cottage’s 3 bedrooms includes ample storage and a flat-screen TV. Two of the rooms feature a double bed, while the primary suite includes a queen-size bed. The cabin has a full bathroom, complete with a combination shower/tub, for each bedroom, so you won’t have to wait on line for your turn to brush your teeth. In addition to a private bathroom, the primary suite has its own half-bath. What’s more, the great room’s futon opens into a bed for 2.
When you stay at Honey Bee Cottage in the summer, you’ll have free access to the community pool. And there’s loads more to see and do just beyond. Downtown Gatlinburg alone is home to Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies, Sweet Fanny Adams Theatre, the Guinness World Records Adventure, mountain coasters and other thrill rides, distilleries, shops, arcades, and more. The Great Smoky Mountains National Park is a trove of flora and fauna, which you can explore on foot, bike, or horseback or by car. Ober Gatlinburg offers skiing and snow tubing in winter and ice-skating, amusement rides, and an animal attraction year-round. (If you visit in winter, by the way, vehicles with 4-wheel drive or tire chains are strongly recommended.) All of the above are only 10 minutes from Honey Bee Cottage. In 20 minutes you can drive to the Great Smoky Arts & Crafts Community; Dollywood, the Titanic Museum, and other attractions of neighboring Pigeon Forge are less than a half-hour away.
The most memorable times of your stay, however, might be those laid-back evenings on Honey Bee Cottage’s decks, gazing up at the star-speckled sky with your nearest and dearest as owls and whip-poor-wills provide the ideal soundtrack. See for yourself: Make your reservation today.
